Responsibilities Tasks Install and service heating systems Install refrigeration systems Install ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems Interpret plans or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operations Measure and determine reference points for installation Read plans or other instructions to determine job requirements Troubleshoot heating systems Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components Measure and cut pipes and connect them by welding or brazing Commission installations and subject them to leakage tests using test equipment Perform maintenance work such as refilling system refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating the system Repair and replace parts and components of complete refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation installations, including heat pump heating systems Additional Information Working Conditions and Physical Abilities Physically demanding Bending, crouching, kneeling Attention to detail Personal Qualities Flexibility Reliable Teamwork
