Responsibilities Tasks Select the type of insulating materials required Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using manual and electrical tools Apply and secure insulation according to spraying, blowing, gluing, strapping, taping or other application and installation methods Place insulation around obstacles and between beams and braces Install vapor barriers and fire-retardant products Spread waterproof cement or other material over insulation materials Manufacture and apply removable insulating pads and mats Assemble, install and disassemble scaffolding and rigging and lifting devices Remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead and mold and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials in buildings
