Responsibilities Tasks Assess child development in order to prepare a learning plan adapted to their needs Assist colleagues in household and culinary tasks Bathe, change diapers and feed infants and toddlers Prepare and implement early childhood education programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional and social development Maintain childcare equipment Narration Synthesize the overall situation of the child and communicate information to parents Help early childhood educators implement programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional and social development Lead children's activities by telling them stories, teaching them songs and taking them to places of interest in the region Help early childhood educators and supervisors maintain records Encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Engage children in activities by telling them stories, teaching them songs and preparing crafts Guide and help children develop good habits for meals, hygiene and dressing Prepare and serve snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and naps Observe children to detect learning difficulties or behavioral disorders, and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Provide early childhood educators and supervisors with written observations about children Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and issues Knowledge of licensing regulations Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and difficulties Establish relationships with colleagues and other community service providers for children and collaborate with them Plan and maintain an environment that protects children's health, safety and well-being Plan and organize activities for school-age children participating in before and after-school care programs
