Responsibilities Tasks Plan or modify routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) or other navigation devices to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions Professionalism in customer service Load and unload merchandise Drive trucks or articulated combinations to transport goods or materials Monitor the condition of vehicles and perform inspection of tires, lights, brakes, refrigerated storage equipment and other equipment Adjust brakes Perform emergency repairs along the road Inspect trucks before, during and after the journey and monitor all aspects of vehicles Perform preventive maintenance Receive and transmit information to the central dispatcher Record information on cargo, service hours, distances traveled and fuel consumption Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo Additional Information Personal Qualities Flexibility Judgment Sense of organization Reliable Team spirit Hardworking Patience
