Responsibilities Tasks Clean meats in preparation for packaging or cutting Cut carcasses, flanks, and quarters Prepare various cuts of meat ordered by customers Cut, trim, and prepare regular cuts of meat Debone meats Weigh meats for sale Set selling prices for meats Clean and prepare fish and crustaceans Sell meats to customers Cut fish into steaks and fillets Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers Train meat cutters Form meat cutters Slice roasted meats Prepare special assortments of meat, poultry, and seafood for display Shape and tie roasts and other meats, as well as poultry or seafood
Experience and Specialization Experience in use of equipment and machinery Manual meat slicer Electric meat grinder
