# Job Description Translation **Work Environment** Pig farming Dusty Noisy Odours Wet or humid Dirty Rural setting **Responsibilities** Tasks - Diagnose livestock health problems - Monitor animal health - Organize tasks to accomplish work - Feed livestock - Perform activities related to pig birthing, such as cutting piglet canines, tail docking, administering iron and other medications, identifying piglets and castration - Treat livestock health problems - Weaning - Feed and care for animals - Ensure compliance with farm safety and biosecurity procedures - Keep production and quality records - Clean stables, barns, farmyards and enclosures - Install and monitor water lines and ventilation and temperature control devices in barns, enclosures and poultry houses **Experience and Specialization** Field of specialization Pork **Additional Information** Transportation and travel information Public transportation not available **Working conditions and physical abilities** - Ability to work independently - Environment where activities occur at a fast pace - Physically demanding - Repetitive tasks - Attention to detail - Handling heavy loads - Sitting, standing and walking - Standing for long periods - Bending, squatting, kneeling **Personal qualities** - Excellent oral communication - Organizational skills - Team spirit - Reliable - Ability to learn quickly **Benefits** Other benefits - On-site housing opportunities - Parking available
